Hello there! Thank you for checking out my blog.
My name is Christopher Wong, and I am a second-year medical student in the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) program at Western University of Health Sciences/College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA. I received my B.S. in Physiological Sciences from UCLA in 2015 and completed UCSD Extension‘s Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program in 2016.
Though I don’t intend on solely publishing Christian content, my blog will mainly focus on my reflections as I journey through life as a follower of Jesus Christ. I consider myself a born-again believer since seven years old, but much of my spiritual formation took place when attending UCLA’s Grace on Campus, a ministry of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. I am currently a member of First Chinese Baptist Church, Walnut, CA.
Beginning my college years, God also grew a desire within me to pursue formal ministry education through seminary. To this end, in summer 2017 I will begin theological training through the Master in Divinity program at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. By His grace, I hope to serve Him in the future bivocationally–working full-time as a physician while ministering as a lay elder in a local church.
My earnest desire and prayer is that reading through my experiences challenges you to consider Christ (Heb 3:1), to grow in the grace and knowledge of Him (2 Pet 3:18), and to love Him more (Ps 37:4).
